This one year course is designed to equip students with an understanding of computer systems, information technology and software development. It will prepare students for a career in this area and for further study.

Applicants must be 17 years of age and should have passed a Leaving Certificate Course. These requirements may be waived for mature students and for people who have experience in this area.
Certification: FETAC Level 5
Further Study: Students may progress to courses of study in Information Systems, Computing, Electronics, Applications, and Manufacturing etc. in Institutes of Technology.
Course Fees: No tuition fees. Students may qualify for grants from their local VEC. Registration and examination fees will apply.
Employment: The course is designed to provide graduates with the knowledge and skills to carry out the duties of an information technology support supervisor within existing employment.
